Crypto Recovery Levels: XRP, HYPE, Ethereum and Bitcoin

Crypto got pushed down hard, and now the crypto recovery is starting to show up on the charts. Here is my short answer as of when I recorded on October 13, 2026. I need XRP back above $1.41, HYPE back above about $87, Ethereum above about $2,534 and Bitcoin above $83,569. If those lines get taken out, I feel warm and fuzzy again. If they fail, I keep my lines drawn and add slowly. I own XRP, HYPE and Ethereum. I do not own any Bitcoin, and I will tell you why that bugs me.

Key takeaways

  • XRP broke the $1.3675 line I warned about and fell to about $1.31. Getting back above $1.36 is okay. Getting above $1.41 is the real all clear.
  • HYPE closed under its 50 EMA on the daily chart for the first time since about August 18. It sat at $82.54 and needs to get back above roughly $87.
  • Ethereum bounced from about $2,400 to $2,514 and is still above its 50 EMA. A close above about $2,534 would make a strong bullish candle.
  • Bitcoin dipped to about $80,900 and bounced to about $83,400. Above $83,569, I think it is ready to run.
  • Back in 2018 I was taught to split every dollar between Bitcoin and Ethereum and buy every week for 10 years. Looking at the charts today, that advice was right.

All my XRP levels in one place: my current lines, every price target and every update live on my XRP price prediction page, updated weekly.

The crypto recovery starts with a trampoline

Think about kids on a trampoline. A bunch of them pile onto one side and push it way down. Then they all jump at once and the kid on the other side goes flying. That is what I am hoping we see in crypto right now.

XRP got pushed down. HYPE got pushed down. Ethereum and Bitcoin got pushed down too. The question is whether we get the jump on the other side. At the time I made this video, we were already seeing a little bit of a recovery, and I liked what I was seeing.

So I pulled up all four charts. I keyed in on XRP and HYPE because those are my biggest crypto holdings. I looked at Ethereum because I own it too. And I looked at Bitcoin, which I do not own at all. For each one, I drew the one line that tells me the selloff is over.

How far each coin is from its breakout line

Here is a simple way to see where each coin stands. I took the price on each chart when I recorded and measured how far it had to climb to reach the line I care about. Bitcoin and Ethereum are right on the doorstep. HYPE has the longest walk back.

Crypto recovery chart: percent gain needed to reach each breakout line as of October 13, 2026. Bitcoin 0.2 percent, Ethereum 0.8 percent, XRP 3.1 percent, HYPE 5.4 percent
HYPE needs about 5.4% to get back to its line. Bitcoin needs about 0.2%.

XRP price: the $1.3675 line broke, so watch $1.41

In my last video I told you the XRP line was $1.3675. I said we did not want to go under it. And if we did, I wanted to see XRP back above it within one candle. That is my rule. A quick dip under a line is fine. Confirming under it is not.

Well, XRP did not just dip. Once it lost $1.3675, it ran all the way down to about $1.31. That is ugly. It is like standing in line at the buffet when they bring out fresh food, and the guy in front of you sneezes all over it. Day ruined.

Here is how I am grading it now. If XRP gets back above $1.36, there is a sneeze guard up and I can still get a few ladles of food. If it gets back above $1.41, nobody sneezed at all. That is the level I need. XRP was near $1.37 when I recorded, so we are close.

XRP teased this area before and failed. So I want to see it come back, retest, and then take it out. If that happens, it should also break back through the 13 EMA, and that is a big deal. We had the push down. Now I want the push back up.

HYPE price: under the 50 EMA for the first time in two months

HYPE is in the same spot as XRP with one big difference. It closed under the 50 EMA. It has not done that since about August 18. That is two months of holding that line, and now it finally broke. I covered why that line matters in my HYPE 50 EMA support breakdown.

I am not panicking. One close under the line is okay as long as we take it back. HYPE was at $82.54 when I recorded. To get happy again, I need it back above about $87. If it hits $87, I am warm and fuzzy.

If it keeps selling off, you draw your lines and you make a plan. People keep asking me if I am adding. I will probably DCA a little bit. I am not afraid to buy more slowly while it sorts itself out.

Ethereum price: a green hammer above the 50 EMA

Ethereum looks better. It is in the same situation, but it stayed above its 50 EMA. It dropped all the way to about $2,400 during the day and came right back to $2,514. So far, so good.

What do I need? About $2,534. We are almost there. The candle is also turning into a green hammer, which is one of the most powerful candles you can get. A hammer means sellers pushed price way down and buyers pushed it right back up. If Ethereum closes the day above about $2,534, that is a big bullish candle.

Bitcoin price: the coin I do not own

Look at the Bitcoin chart and you would barely know there was a selloff. It dipped to about $80,900 and was already back to about $83,400 when I recorded. It is back above the 5 EMA and closing in on the 13 EMA.

My line is $83,569. Above that, I think Bitcoin is running again. The Bollinger Bands are getting tight, and that often comes right before a breakout. It is forming the same green hammer I just showed you on Ethereum.

And I am not in it. I own XRP, HYPE and Ethereum. I am trying to get the biggest bang for my buck on risk and reward, and so far that has meant skipping Bitcoin. But watching this chart, I have to ask myself if that is a mistake.

The 10 year DCA lesson I learned in 2018

Here is why it bugs me. Back in 2018, the person who trained me said to split every dollar I invested in crypto in half. Half Bitcoin, half Ethereum. Buy every week for 10 years, something like $100 a week. He said that if I did that, I would be very happy with the result at the end of those 10 years.

That 10 years ends in 2028. When I pull up the long term charts, he was right. Ethereum’s high in 2018 was about $1,400 and it is at $2,514 now, and buying every week would have picked up a lot of coins at far lower prices along the way. Most of Bitcoin’s 2018 trading was around $6,000 to $7,000. It is more than 10 times that today.

Will the next 10 years look the same? I think the answer is probably yes. I go deeper on my long term targets in my crypto price predictions for 2030.

What I am doing now

I am watching the four lines. XRP at $1.41. HYPE at about $87. Ethereum at about $2,534. Bitcoin at $83,569. I am not afraid to DCA a little into HYPE while it is under its 50 EMA. And I may be adding a new coin to my portfolio soon. I have not decided which one yet.

Now I want to hear from you. Do you own any Bitcoin? If not, why not? Should I get back in? Tell me in the comments on the video.

Common questions

What price does XRP need to reclaim?

I need XRP back above $1.41. Getting back above $1.36 is okay, but $1.41 is the level that tells me the selloff is over.

Is HYPE below the 50 EMA a bad sign?

It is a warning, not a disaster. HYPE closed under its 50 EMA for the first time since about August 18. If it gets back above about $87, I feel good again.

What is a green hammer candle?

A hammer is a candle with a long lower wick and a small body near the top. It shows sellers pushed price down and buyers pushed it right back. Green means it closed higher than it opened.

Does Stock Moe own Bitcoin?

No. I own XRP, HYPE and Ethereum, but no Bitcoin right now. I used to split my crypto buys between Bitcoin and Ethereum.
