Crypto Price Predictions 2030: Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, HYPE

Crypto price predictions for 2030 run all the way up to $780,000 for one Bitcoin. I pulled every named, dated target I could find for Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and HYPE. The short answer: Bitcoin has the most coverage and the most believable models, XRP needs the biggest move of the four, and HYPE has the smallest target but the only one built on real revenue. Here is how each number was built and how I am positioned.

Key takeaways

  • As of October 5, 2026, Bitcoin is $85,788, Ethereum is $2,714, XRP is $1.51 and HYPE is $94.63. Only HYPE is close to its all time high.
  • The biggest named Bitcoin target is ARK Invest at $780,000 by 2030. Standard Chartered and the Bernstein bull case sit at $500,000.
  • XRP to $28 by 2030 is 18.6 times today’s price and needs about 98.9% a year. That is the hardest target of the four.
  • HYPE has the smallest target, $147 for 2031 from CoinShares, because it is the only one valued on fees it already earns.
  • Forecasters change their numbers all the time. VanEck cut its Ethereum target 67% in four months.

Where Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and HYPE stand today

Every one of these four is below its all time high except one. Bitcoin is down 32% from its record of $126,080, set on October 6 last year. Ethereum is down 45% from its record of $4,946 in August 2025. XRP is down 59% from $3.65. HYPE is only 3% under the all time high it set on September 23.

The whole crypto market is worth about $2.93 trillion, and Bitcoin is 58.7% of it. All the gold in the world is worth about $29 trillion. Keep that number in your head.

HYPE has been my hot hand. We were talking about it in the $50s, $60s and $70s. I said I thought it could reach $100 by year end, and it is in the $90s now. If it keeps running, it could become my biggest position.

Crypto price predictions 2030: how many times your money

Take each long term target and divide it by today’s price.

Crypto price predictions 2030 chart: how many times today's price each target is. Bitcoin to $500,000 is 5.8 times, Ethereum to $40,000 is 14.7 times, XRP to $28 is 18.6 times, and HYPE to $147 is 1.6 times.
Each long term target divided by today’s price. Prices from CoinGecko, October 5, 2026.

Bitcoin to $500,000 is 5.8 times. Ethereum to $40,000 is 14.7 times. XRP to $28 is 18.6 times. HYPE to $147 is only 1.6 times. The Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP numbers are Standard Chartered’s 2030 targets. The HYPE number is the CoinShares base case for 2031.

The smallest multiple belongs to the one coin already near its high. I have had my best returns lately with Hyperliquid, and analysts are calling for the least from it. Kind of crazy, right?

Every named Bitcoin price target

  • ARK Invest, 2030: $780,000
  • Standard Chartered, 2030: $500,000
  • Bernstein, 2029 bull case: $500,000
  • Fidelity, 2029: $300,000
  • Bernstein, 2029 base case: $300,000
  • Galaxy, end of 2027: $250,000
  • Citi, 12 month target: $113,000

BlackRock, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and Bank of America have no published Bitcoin target at all.

I would even take Citi’s $113,000. I think the next crypto cycle starts around October or November, so we are close, and we might already be well into it.

Know the model before you trust the number

ARK builds its Bitcoin number from six buckets of demand, and digital gold is the biggest one. In the base case, digital gold alone is about half the target. ARK’s own framing is a $16 trillion market cap, which works out near $780,000 a coin.

Standard Chartered does not publish a model at all. Geoff Kendrick cut his 2026 Bitcoin target from $300,000 to $150,000 in December, then to $100,000 on February 12. He left the 2030 call at $500,000 both times. Cutting the near target and keeping the far one means 2030 now needs about 51% a year. It got harder, not easier.

Ethereum price prediction: three targets that disagree

Ethereum has only three real targets. Standard Chartered says $40,000 by 2030. Bitwise says $10,000 by 2030. VanEck’s last published number is $7,300. Today Ethereum sits at $2,714.

If Ethereum got to $7,300 by 2030, that is a little under three times today’s price. Would you be mad? I would not.

VanEck’s story is the best lesson in crypto research. In May 2023 it published $11,848 for 2030. In June 2024 it raised that to $22,000. The model assumed Ethereum’s main chain would capture about 90% of the revenue its layer twos make. Then the Dencun upgrade let layer twos settle on the main chain almost for free, and actual capture was about 10%. In October 2024 VanEck cut its base case to about $7,300. That is a 67% cut, four months after raising it.

The model did not break because the market fell. It broke because Ethereum’s own upgrade changed the economics the model depended on. People still quote that $22,000 number like it is alive.

XRP price prediction: one bank, one analyst, five rungs

XRP is the only one of the four with a full year by year ladder, and it comes from one person, Geoff Kendrick at Standard Chartered.

  • End of 2026: $2.80, about 85% above today
  • End of 2027: $7.00, about 4.6 times today
  • End of 2028: $12.60, about 8.3 times today
  • End of 2029: $19.60, about 13 times today
  • End of 2030: $28, about 18.6 times today and a $1.77 trillion market cap

Be clear about the method. These levels come from Fibonacci extensions. That is chart work, not a cash flow model. And nobody else covers XRP. VanEck, ARK and BlackRock have no XRP target. I do not see that as bearish. It means XRP is uncovered, and repricing can start when coverage does. I went deeper on the odds in XRP Price Prediction: The $28 Target and the Real Odds.

HYPE is the only one valued on real revenue

Hyperliquid is a business. It took in $934 million in fees over the trailing 12 months, with $711 million of revenue. Its fund has bought 47.8 million HYPE at an average cost of $28.25, worth about $4.5 billion today, and it bought them with revenue.

CoinShares measured HYPE’s price to fees ratio over 12 months in a band from 7 times to 25 times, with an average near 11.8. Their 2031 base case is $147. Their bull case is $456. Their bear case is $8.

Can you imagine $8? I would not still be in it at that point. I use stop losses, and I follow them.

What yearly return each target needs

Here is the yearly return each target needs from today’s price:

  • XRP to $28 by 2030: 98.9% a year
  • Ethereum to $40,000 by 2030: 88.3% a year
  • Bitcoin to $780,000 by 2030: 68.1% a year
  • Bitcoin to $500,000 by 2030: 51.4% a year
  • Ethereum to $10,000 by 2030: 35.9% a year
  • HYPE to $456 by 2031: 34.9% a year
  • Bitcoin to $300,000 by 2029: 34.3% a year
  • HYPE to $147 by 2031: 8.8% a year

The S&P 500 has done about 10% a year over the long run, so these are big numbers. But crypto is still a growing sector, and if the Clarity Act ever passes, I do not think they are impossible. I tracked what happened the last time the bill stalled in Clarity Act Failed and Crypto Went Up: 9 Day Scoreboard.

The market cap test I run on every target

Take any target, multiply it by the supply and compare. It takes ten seconds and it never fails. Any Bitcoin target above about $1.4 million is claiming Bitcoin is worth more than all the gold in the world.

  • Bitcoin at $500,000 is a $10.2 trillion market cap. That is about 35% of all the gold in the world.
  • Bitcoin at $780,000 is $16 trillion, which is ARK’s own stated number and more than five times the whole crypto market today.
  • Ethereum at $40,000 is $4.9 trillion. That is bigger than Nvidia, the most valuable company on earth today.
  • XRP at $28 is $1.77 trillion, roughly where Bitcoin’s entire market cap sits right now.
  • Bitcoin at $780,000, Ethereum at $40,000 and XRP at $28 add up to $22.6 trillion. That is the whole crypto market growing 7.7 times in about four years.

I do not think it has to be Bitcoin or gold. Inflation would likely push gold higher too, so I expect both to go up. Still, $780,000 would take a lot of money printing around the world. Sort of like what governments are doing right now.

Forecasts that already missed or got cut

Nobody shows you this part, and they should. In December 2024, Standard Chartered put Bitcoin at $200,000 for the end of 2025. It did not get there. In December 2025 they cut 2026 from $300,000 to $150,000 and pushed the $500,000 call from 2028 out to 2030. In February 2026 they cut again, to $100,000 for 2026, and cut Ethereum from $7,500 to $4,000.

I am not telling you to ignore these people. I am telling you that a five year target from an analyst who has already revised it twice is not a date. Treat it that way.

What has to happen for any of this

Bitcoin needs to take real share from gold. That is the whole ball game. Bitcoin is about $1.7 trillion against $29 trillion of gold, so it is around 6% of gold today. Every big target is a bet on that share going to 20%, 40% or 60%. If everybody starts using it as a store of value, it is game over. It runs.

Ethereum needs its main chain to capture value from its own layer twos. If Ethereum solves it, the high targets have a path. If not, the realistic range looks more like Bitwise’s $10,000 than Standard Chartered’s $40,000.

XRP needs Wall Street coverage to start and the ETF buyer base to keep growing. We also need the Clarity Act, which I think is written with XRP in mind. HYPE needs its fees to break out of the $55 million to $81 million a month range they have been stuck in for eight months. If Hyperliquid opens up to the US, that is another game over moment.

Four conclusions and how I am positioned

Bitcoin has the most coverage and the most defensible model, so on paper it is the one to size biggest. It used to be 50/50 Bitcoin and Ethereum for me. Right now I hold Ethereum, Hyperliquid and XRP, and they are pretty big positions.

Ethereum is my smallest. It is the cheapest of the four and the least covered, which cuts both ways. I would rather own it with Bitwise’s $10,000 case in mind than count on Standard Chartered’s $40,000.

XRP and HYPE are my two biggest positions. They are the two ends of the risk barbell. XRP needs the biggest move with the thinnest coverage. HYPE has the gentlest target because it is valued on revenue that already exists.

Common questions

What is ARK’s Bitcoin price prediction for 2030?

ARK Invest’s current framing is a $16 trillion Bitcoin market cap, which works out near $780,000 a coin. It is built from six buckets of demand, and digital gold is the biggest.

Can XRP reach $28 by 2030?

Standard Chartered’s Geoff Kendrick has $28 for the end of 2030. From $1.51 that is 18.6 times and about 98.9% a year, a $1.77 trillion market cap. It is possible, but it needs almost everything to go right.

What is the Ethereum price prediction for 2030?

There are only three real ones: Standard Chartered at $40,000, Bitwise at $10,000 and VanEck at about $7,300 as its last published number.

What is the HYPE price prediction for 2031?

CoinShares has a base case of $147, a bull case of $456 and a bear case of $8. It values HYPE on the fees Hyperliquid already earns.
