XRP and HYPE Price Prediction: Bounce Levels for This Week
My XRP and HYPE price prediction for this week is simple: I think both are setting up for a bounce. XRP was sitting right at $1.41 when I recorded on October 12, 2026, and I expect it to reach about $1.44 this week. HYPE held its 50 day EMA, and I expect about $88 within three days. The big risk is not the charts. It is the Fed, which looks very likely to raise rates again before Christmas.
Key takeaways
- XRP was at $1.41, right on its 5 EMA. I expect it to tag the 13 EMA near $1.44 this week.
- HYPE dipped to $82, held the 50 EMA, and bounced to about $86. I expect $88 in the next three days.
- If HYPE confirms above $94, I think it runs to $100.
- Ethereum climbed from $2,400 to $2,541 and is already back above its 5 EMA. Bitcoin is the strongest of the four, back above its 13 EMA.
- The rate odds I showed put an October hike at only 18%, but about 85% for at least one hike by Christmas.
- With the midterm elections on November 3, I think the push to lower fuel prices helps markets this week.

The Fed is the risk I am watching
The weekend was not bad at all. XRP and HYPE did what I needed them to do on Friday, Saturday and part of Sunday. XRP slipped a little after that, and HYPE kept doing well. But before I get to the charts, I want to talk about the thing that makes me nervous: Kevin Warsh and the Fed.
The next Fed meeting is at the end of October. The good news is that the odds I showed gave only an 18% chance of a rate hike at that meeting. No Halloween tricks, just treats. The bad news comes later. It looks almost settled that the Fed holds in October and then raises rates by Christmas. Put the odds together and there is about an 85% chance of at least one rate hike by then. There is even a 15% chance of two hikes in a row, which would be 50 basis points above where we are now.
That is a scary thought. The Fed already raised rates in September, which I broke down in my article on what the Fed rate hike means for mortgage rates. Higher rates put extra pressure on risk assets, and that includes my crypto. So keep the Fed in the back of your mind while you look at these bounces.
XRP price prediction: the $1.41 test
When I recorded, XRP was at $1.41. A lot of people were asking if it was Christmas because prices looked like a sale. I told them the sale already happened. It was down at $1.31. That was your discount.
Since then XRP has bounced back up through the Bollinger band. I said it should be able to get up and hit the 5 EMA, and it just did. It took a couple of days, but it got there. Yesterday it dropped as low as $1.38, then came all the way back up to $1.41 again.
Here is the order of things I need to see. First, XRP needs to break above the 5 EMA at $1.41 and stay there. It got above it once and got pushed back. Second, I expect it to run up to the 13 EMA this week, roughly $1.44. That line is the real resistance. If XRP can take out the 13, all is right in the world again. If you want a refresher on how I use the 5 EMA, I explained it in my XRP breakout line breakdown.
HYPE price prediction: the 50 EMA held
I have a lot of money in these two. Between XRP and HYPE, my exposure is roughly $300,000, and I plan on adding more. So I watch these levels closely.
HYPE came down to its 50 EMA, and thank goodness it did not break. It dipped below, pulled back up, dipped below again and pulled back up again. It went as low as $82 and was back to about $86 when I recorded.
I expect HYPE to tease the 13 EMA again early this week. My target is $88 within the next three days. Looking at the trend, I think the zone for this week is somewhere around $87 to $90.
The big line to break is the downtrend line near $94. The day HYPE confirms above $94, I think it goes right up to $100. Until then, it is a game of patience. For everyone who loved HYPE at $98 and saw it fall to $82, the real question is whether you took advantage of the lower price.
Ethereum and Bitcoin: climbing out of the pit
I own Ethereum too, and its chart looks a lot like HYPE. It broke below the Bollinger band twice and got pushed down to $2,400. Now it is climbing out of the pit of despair and was back to $2,541 when I recorded.
When a coin breaks the Bollinger band twice like that, I usually expect it to get back to the 13 EMA without much trouble. Ethereum is already back above the 5 EMA. I fully expect it to reach the 13 EMA this week.
Bitcoin is the strongest of the bunch. It bounced off the 50 EMA near $80,000 and climbed back above the 13 EMA. If it holds above the 13 EMA through the day, that is a confirmation. That is exactly what you want to see in a crypto chart.
Why I think crypto can bounce this week
So why do I feel confident? It is election month. The midterm elections are on November 3. If there is one month every two years when the party running the House, the Senate and the White House pulls out all the stops to make people happy, this is it.
The last thing any party in power wants before an election is high fuel prices. On October 9, the White House announced a deal for Russia to ship diesel to the United States. That tells you how badly they want fuel prices down before people vote. People vote with their wallets. If life feels worse, voters are not happy campers. If life feels good, most people say keep it the way it is.
The stock market is near all time highs, so the roughly 100 million Americans with money in the market should feel pretty good. People without stocks who are paying for groceries and gas feel very different. Gas went from about $2.89 to $4.39 a gallon. If cheaper diesel comes in, businesses pay less to move goods and make more money. That is a big reason I think the market can push higher this week.
What would ruin it? Something bad. A war headline, bad news out of the government, anything that scares people. When that happens the Nasdaq drops, crypto drops and everything drops together. I am not expecting that this week, but it is always on the table.
Common questions
What is your XRP price prediction for this week?
With XRP at $1.41 as of October 12, 2026, I expect it to reach the 13 EMA near $1.44 this week. It first needs to break and hold above the 5 EMA at $1.41.
What HYPE price would confirm a run to $100?
A confirmed move above the downtrend line near $94. Until that happens, I am looking for a range of about $87 to $90 this week.
Will the Fed raise rates in October 2026?
The odds I showed put an October hike at only 18%. The bigger risk is December, with about an 85% chance of at least one hike by Christmas.
What is the 50 EMA and why does it matter?
The 50 EMA is a slower exponential moving average that tracks the trend over about 50 periods. When a coin pulls back to it and holds, like HYPE and Bitcoin did, I treat that as a sign the bigger trend is still intact.
Do elections affect the crypto market?
I think they can. Before an election, the party in power usually works hard to lower costs like fuel, and a happier economy tends to help stocks and crypto in the short run.
