XRP Price Prediction: $1.25 Panic Line as QQQ Tests $710
My XRP price prediction changed in the early hours of October 22, 2026, and it changed because of the stock market, not because of anything XRP did. I woke up, pulled up the pre market, and the futures were bleeding. Nasdaq futures were down 1.29%, the S&P 500 was down 0.65%, and the Dow was down 0.26%. XRP was sitting at $1.347 after almost touching $1.40 the day before. In this video I walk through the exact lines I am watching on XRP, HYPE, QQQ, Bitcoin and Ethereum, and I tell you where my panic lines are. The short version: XRP is fine as long as it closes above $1.34 today and stays above $1.25 on the weekly chart, HYPE is fine above $76 to $77, and QQQ has one line at $709.98 that cannot break or I think we get a monster selloff.
Key takeaways
- XRP was $1.347 in the early morning of October 22, 2026, down 1.28%. It held the 5 EMA. A close above $1.34 today is a win for me, and $1.25 on the weekly chart is my panic line.
- HYPE was about $79. My line is $76 to $77, the weekly midline is about $73, and a drop to $74 is where I start protecting myself.
- QQQ closed at $725.20 on October 21 and was trading around $715 in the pre market. A daily close under $709.98 is the line that opens the door to a big selloff, with $662 as the next stop.
- Bitcoin is the strong one at about $82,800, still above its 50 EMA. Ethereum is the weak one at about $2,440 with the 13 EMA under the 50, and I think $2,300 comes quickly.
- I still expect one nasty wick down in October or November before a recovery starts after the elections.
Why a red pre market hits XRP first
People ask me all the time why I care about stock futures when I am talking about XRP. Here is the honest answer. When the big money sees the market bleeding before the open, crypto cannot help but jump in with it. That red pre market is what put the red candle on the XRP chart this morning.
Here is what the board looked like when I made the video, using the CNN Business pre market page. Dow futures were at 52,920, down 139 points or 0.26%. S&P 500 futures were at 7,749.75, down 50.50 or 0.65%. Nasdaq futures were at 29,620, down 387 or 1.29%. The CNN Fear and Greed gauge read 31, which is fear. Tech was getting hit the hardest, and tech is what crypto trades with.

XRP price prediction: the $1.34 close and the $1.25 panic line
Yesterday was a good day. XRP got back above the Bollinger Band midline, then above the 50 EMA, the 13 EMA and the 5 EMA, and it confirmed above the 5. We were up near $1.40. Then this morning the market said hold my beverage and XRP dropped back to $1.347, down 1.28%.
The good news is that it came down, hit the 5 EMA, and bounced. That is what I want to see. For today, my number is $1.34. If XRP finishes the day above $1.34, I take it as a win even if the candle is red. I know everyone wants a green candle. So do I. But holding the 5 EMA after a run like yesterday is what a healthy chart does.
Now zoom out to the weekly chart, because that is where my real line is. The last two weekly candles were ugly. Both confirmed below the 5 EMA. This week XRP is fighting back and holding above the 13 EMA and above the Bollinger Band midline. For people listening instead of looking, that midline is about $1.25. I do not even want to get close to $1.25. But if a weekly candle finishes below $1.25, that is my panic line. That is where things are bad enough that they could get a lot worse, and that is where I start making decisions. I covered the $1.28 support level and the 5 EMA test last week, and nothing about that setup has changed.
HYPE: $76 to $77 is the line, $74 is where I protect myself
You all know I hold Hyperliquid. HYPE was right around $79 when I made this video, down about 2% on the day. On the weekly chart the panic line is roughly $76 to $77, and the real nastiness is the midline, which is roughly $73.
On the daily chart I showed you what happens when HYPE loses that midline. It crosses, it bleeds, it teases the line from underneath, then it comes back down. When it finally crosses back over, confirms, retests once and takes off, that is the normal pattern. Right now we are in the bleeding part, and if HYPE cannot get the midline back, that is where things start to go south.
I want to be fair to the project. This is a great revenue stream with real utility. The perpetuals business brings in income. But a lot of people bought in early around $50, and they see the same $76 to $77 line I see. If it loses, some of them will sell, and their sell orders are already set. We tapped about $75 recently. If HYPE hits $74, to me that is enough to say this is something different, and I would look to protect myself. I do not want to do that. I want this thing to roll. The other option is to buy more, but I am not deciding that until I compare my XRP and HYPE positions to the overall market.
QQQ: the $709.98 line that cannot break
This is the part of the video you are not going to like. QQQ closed at $725.20 on October 21, up 1.05%. In the pre market it was getting hammered, trading between about $715 and $725. My indicator flagged this market as bearish back at $738, and the 13 EMA is about to cross below the 50 EMA on the daily chart.
Here is my call. If QQQ finishes a daily candle under $709.98, I think we get a monster selloff, with real selling over the next few weeks. The next line below that is $662, which is about 8% lower. I am not sure we get all the way there, but I think we get close, and I will be playing it that way. That is my opinion and that is how I plan to trade it. I first flagged this setup when QQQ broke the 50 EMA last week.
One more thing about red pre markets. When I see this much red before the open, I usually like to start a few upward plays early, because the worst of the selling is often done in the first hour, sometimes the first minute. By about 10:30 the market tends to start working its way back up. That is a tendency, not a rule. Every day is unique.
Bitcoin is the beast, Ethereum is the warning
Before I call anything in crypto I look at the big two. Bitcoin was about $82,800, down 1.48% but still above the 50 EMA, with the 5 and 13 EMAs above the 50 too. Through all of this, Bitcoin is not even suffering. My view is that countries and big players are using Bitcoin for large transfers and buying hundreds of millions of dollars of it, and that is holding it up.
Ethereum is a different story. It was about $2,440, down 1.94%, and the 5 and 13 EMAs have crossed below the 50. That is what I call a warning sign. It came down, retested the 50 over the last two days including today, and now it is rolling back over. Support sits around $2,350. If Ethereum breaks $2,350 and confirms it, I think it goes down like a rock off a bridge, and I think we see $2,300 very quickly in the next few days. Once a chart is under the 50 EMA, I set a line and I wait.
My timing: a wick down, then a recovery after the elections
I have said for a while that I thought the worst would come in October or November. Something nasty, a big wick down, the final selloff before a recovery and a new bull cycle. I have been waiting to see what causes it, and the truth is it does not need a cause. The elections are coming up, and that is when I expect the recovery to start. Until then, the lines above are what I am trading around. I keep every one of my XRP levels updated in my XRP price prediction tracker.
Common questions
Why is XRP down today?
In my view it is the stock market. Nasdaq futures were down 1.29% before the open on October 22, 2026, and crypto trades with tech. XRP pulled back from near $1.40 to $1.347 but held its 5 EMA.
What is the XRP support level to watch?
Short term I want a daily close above $1.34. The bigger line is the weekly Bollinger Band midline at about $1.25. A weekly close below $1.25 is my panic line.
What price is the QQQ selloff line?
$709.98 on a daily close. Under that I expect weeks of selling with $662 as the next major level, about 8% lower.
Is HYPE a sell at $74?
For me $74 is where I would start protecting my position, because it means the $76 to $77 line and the recent $75 tap both failed. That is my plan, not advice for you.
Is Bitcoin or Ethereum stronger right now?
Bitcoin. It is about $82,800 and above its 50 EMA. Ethereum is about $2,440 with its short EMAs under the 50, and I think it tests $2,300 soon.
